About Hydock, Hertzog, Simpson, Halliday, Crawford, Riggle Familys
2015 I have turned over pertinent documents to Kathy Lamont who will be doing Simpson, Halliday, Crawford, Howells and associated lines. Also I will be doing Hydock and Hertzog lines. You can still reach me at my email address and get in touch with both of us thru our guest book.
As of October 2009 I have combined all genealogy into one web site.
SIMPSON: The Simpson's were mostly in Tarentum or Ford City and most were glass workers. They came from South Shields, Durham England. They were also glassworkers there.
HALLIDAY: Mary Halliday was married to a Simpson then came to Tarentum. The Hallidays were in South Shields and prior to that were Tax Collectors and in the weaving business in Dysart, Fife, Scotland.
HYDOCK: The Hydocks came from Peterswalde West Prussia, Germany. They were mostly farmers and coal miners. They started out in Cambria County PA and centered around that area for years.
HERTZOGS: Loretta Hertzog married a Hydock. The Hertzogs were mostly around the Cambria County area and came from Germany.
CRAWFORD: The Crawfords came from Scotland and settled around Lancaster or Philadelphia area then on to Tanneytown Maryland and finally in the Westmoreland County and Armstrong Co area of Pennsylvania.

Getting Around There are several ways to browse the family tree. The Tree View graphically shows the relationship of selected person to their kin. The Family View shows the person you have selected in the center, with his/her photo on the left and notes on the right. Above are the father and mother and below are the children. The Ancestor Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph above and children below. On the right are the parents, grandparents and great-grandparents. The Descendant Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph and parents below. On the right are the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Do you know who your second cousins are? Try the Kinship Relationships Tool. Your site can generate various Reports for each name in your family tree. You can select a name from the list on the top-right menu bar.
In addition to the charts and reports you have Photo Albums, the Events list and the Relationships tool. Family photographs are organized in the Photo Index. Each Album's photographs are accompanied by a caption. To enlarge a photograph just click on it. Keep up with the family birthdays and anniversaries in the Events list. Birthdays and Anniversaries of living persons are listed by month. Want to know how you are related to anybody ? Check out the Relationships tool.
