About Simpson, Crawford, Halliday, Riggle, Hydock, Hertzog Familys
As of August 2006 I have combined all my genealogy into one web site. I will
not be adding new information unless it is to my direct line. I am adding the
new information to my book copy in PAF. I will always be adding pictures or
making corrections to what I have in the web site. As fast as the new
information is coming, it is too time consuming to keep up the book and the
web site. If you are direct line, please email your information.
SIMPSON: The Simpson's were mostly in Tarentum or Ford City and most were
glass workers. They came from South Shields, Durham England. They were also
glassworkers there.

Hallidays were in South Shields and prior to that were Tax Collectors and in
the weaving business in Dysart, Fife, Scotland.
HYDOCK: The Hydocks came from Germany. They were mostly farmers and coal
miners. They started out in Cambria County PA and centered around that area
for years.
HERTZOGS: Loretta Hertzog married a Hydock. The Hertzogs were mostly around
the Cambria County area and came from Germany.
CRAWFORD: The Crawfords came from Scotland and settled around Lancaster or
Philadelphia area then on to Tanneytown Maryland and finally in the
Westmoreland County and Armstrong Co area of Pennsylvania.
